Rail Journeys

A Superb way to explore Canada without the hassle of driving

The railways are a great way to travel around Canada. Whether you choose to take to the rails on the Canadian train as it wends its stately way across the country between Toronto and Vancouver, the luxurious daylight only Rocky Mountaineer train, the VIA Skeena train between Jasper and Prince Rupert or one of the many trains around the Eastern seaboard, you will be joining the ranks of those early railway men who formed Canada. If driving is not your thing then experience a railway holiday to Canada.

VIA Rail
The crown owned VIA Rail services travel from Halifax in the East to Vancouver in the West and up to Hudson Bay in the North, using beautifully restored 1950’s trains. There are two levels of service on each of the longer journeys and we recommend the first class service for the ambience and comfort, although the economy seating is an affordable way to experience Canada.
