Ten-thousand-year-old icebergs drift south. Humpbacks migrate to the north. Newfoundland is where their paths cross. And the majestic humpback is just one of 29 species of whales, dolphins and porpoises that ply the coastal waters. Cabot Tower at Signal Hill National Historic Site - St. John’s most visible landmark - overlooks one of North America’s oldest and most culturally inspiring capital cities. You’ll find some of the largest seabird colonies on earth here. Watch for kittiwakes, murres, razorbills, ospreys, hawks and owls.
