King Pacific Lodge has won numerous awards both for its green credentials and for its concept.  Luxury in the wilderness is measured against King Pacific Lodge.  For the past 3 years King Pacific lodge has topped the charts for Canada on the Conde Nast Traveler Gold list  The floating lodge is moored in the shelter of Barnard Harbour on Princess Royal Island. It is only accessible by float plane and your stay here includes a charter flight from Vancouver. The area has been home to the Tsimshian people for over 10,000 years. Many members of staff are from the local band and enjoy sharing their land and stories with you.  

Your days at King Pacific Lodge will be as filled with activity or relaxation as you choose.  On offer, you will find hiking, fishing (fly and ocean), wildlife viewing including the white Kermode spirit bear, kayaking, relaxing on the deck, visiting the local First Nation village or a spa treatment. Interspersed with all of this, you will be served delicious meals and be cossetted from morning to night. 

King Pacific's rates are all inclusive of flights from Vancouver, all accommodation, gourmet meals featuring British Columbia's finest organic produce, all beverages including wine, beer and spirits, daily guided eco-tourism activities plus the use of all lodge facilities.

Travel to King Pacific Lodge

Special charter flights operate on Mondays and Fridays from Vancouver Airport's south terminal to Bella Bella where you transfer to your float plane into the lodge.  Although subject to change, you will normally depart from Vancouver at 0715 returning there by 1345.  Total journey time is about 3 hours.

Wilderness View Room
These rooms are exceptionally quiet and overlook the forest and inter-tidal area. Enjoy occasional glimpses of wildlife from your room. Spacious rooms feature a king-size bed and the slate-lined bathrooms with soaker tubs and wilderness views.

Ocean View Room
Spacious rooms offer spectacular views overBarnardHarbourand Whale Channel. They have a king or split-king beds and slate-lined bathrooms with soaker tubs and expansive ocean views.

Barnard Harbour Suite
This premium suite offers 850 square feet of spacious accommodations with a separate sitting room, king-size bed with dramatic ocean views over the bay and islands. The slate-lined bathroom has a soaker tub, separate shower and luxurious amenities.

Romance Suite
A handmade king-size driftwood bed is the centrepiece of this 800-square-foot junior suite, with views ofBarnardHarbourand the surrounding mountains. The suite has a dressing room and a large slate-lined Jacuzzi bathroom suite - the perfect honeymoon suite.

Waterfall Suite
A 1400-square foot corner suite with expansive views of the ocean and waterfall has a sitting room with an open fireplace and dining room as well as two decks and a wet bar. The bedroom has a king-size bed and slate-lined bathroom with deep soaker tub and ocean views.

Princess Royal Suite
This luxurious accommodation spreads over two floors towards the ocean, the wilderness and a stunning waterfall. The suite features a spacious master bedroom, dressing room and slate-lined Jacuzzi tub. It can also be reserved with two bedrooms. Enjoy a comfortable sitting room with a large rock fireplace, dining room accommodating up to eight guests and two balconies to enjoy the resident wildlife and the West Coast sunsets. Guests in this premium suite enjoy a Princess Royal Hot Stone Massage (or equivalent) per person.
