A short walk from the hub of Charlottetown, this estate house offers a rare quality of accommodation. The grounds are set back from the road and provide an oasis of calm and comfort, with handmade quilts, unique antiques and clawfoot baths setting the tone of the house. There is even good reason to believe that it was the inspiration for the home of Aunt Josephine in Anne of Green Gables. The harbourfront is a mere stroll away, as is the rest of the city, making this a stunning and well positioned option for exploring Charlottetown.
There are seven rooms and suites, most equipped with real working fireplaces. Each has its own character based on the history of the house and all are presented in gorgeous luxury; each en suite features a victorian clawfoot bath or whirlpool tub. Bathrobes and full gourmet breakfasts are included.
Why we like it
This superb inn blends elegance and warmth, and is an excellent base from which to explore Charlottetown and Prince Edward Island.
