Halifax to Digby
Have a relaxing breakfast in Peggy’s Cove before visiting Lunenburg. Continue to Champlain’s Habitation, Canada’s oldest permanent settlement, and then on to the coast.
1 night in Digby.
Digby to Moncton
The morning is at leisure to explore the picturesque fishing port of Digby, home to the largest scallop fishing fleet in the world. Travel along the lush Annapolis Valley and through Grand Pre, the site that inspired Longfellow’s famous and tragic poem “Evangeline.” Continue past Truro and Amherst as you cross into New Brunswick.

Moncton to Charlottetown
The journey continues on to Hopewell Rocks, known for its ancient geography and powerful tides. After lunch continue to Prince Edward Island over the 8 mile Confederation Bridge, the world’s longest continuous multi-span bridge, and enjoy a delicious lobster dinner before checking into the hotel.

Charlottetown
This morning is free to explore Charlottetown “the cradle of Canadian confederation”. Afternoon sightseeing will take you to Prince Edward National Park, renowned for its white sand beaches and to Green Gables House, famous for being the setting of Lucy Maud Montgomery’s 'Anne of Green Gables' novels. Between mid-June to mid-September attend the musical “Anne” at the Charlottetown Festival or Mariner's Feast Dinner Show.
Charlottetown to Baddeck
Take the ferry across the Northumberland Strait returning to Nova Scotia. Drive through tranquil scenery and small communities that still celebrate Nova Scotia’s Scottish, Indian and Acadian heritage. Continue into Cape Breton Island through the magnificent highland scenery that surrounds Bras d’Or Lake to Baddeck. Visit a fascinating museum dedicated to the life and works of Alexander Graham Bell.

Baddeck
Weather permitting; enjoy a whalewatching boat tour sighting all sorts of marine life. A scenic highlight of this trip is the drive along the Cabot Trail into the highland of northern Cape Breton. The trail runs past lochs and glens settled by Scottish Highlanders and along coastlines settled by Acadians. Meander through rugged Cape Breton Highlands National Park enjoying stunning views of sea-swept headlands, steep cliffs and tranquil beaches. Return to Baddeck through the lush Margaree Valley.
On the way back to Halifax, explore the eastern part of Cape Breton by circumnavigating the great inland sea of Bras d’Or Lake and touring the Fortress of Louisburg. Enjoy touring the reconstructed buildings, interactive demonstrations and sampling 18th century cuisine. Continue along the shores of Bras d’Or to the mainland making your way back to Halifax.

Time for last-minute shopping and farewells. Individual transfer to Halifax International Airport in time to check in for your return flight.
