Cruises in Canada & Alaska
Cruise up to Alaska, River Cruise in Canada, Small ship cruises in the Inside Passage or Luxury cruises. Whatever your requirements they are all here.
Canada is perfect for cruising, with ocean on three sides, and a vast system of rivers and lakes.
Our ships come in all shapes and sizes and we could fill a book trying to explain them all. Please ask us for more details; we have brochures in the office for many of the ships.
As with many aspects of our holidays, the cruises can all be part of a longer land-based holiday.
Alaska Cruising - large & luxurious
Frontier Canada has selected to work with Holland America, Regent Seven Sea Cruises, Celebrity Cruises, Royal Caribbean Cruise Line and last but not least Norwegian Cruise Lines. We have chosen these five as we think they represent the best of what is on offer in their categories.
Regent Seven Seas offer unashamed luxury; 6 star cruising. Best of all, everything is included; even unlimited shore excursions
Holland America Line has a greater selection of Alaska cruise itineraries than any other cruise line.
Royal Caribbean International are the most innovative and exciting in the travel industry. From rock-climbing walls on every ship, to elegant dining rooms and relaxing spas.
Celebrity Cruises are 5* luxurious vessels and offer both relaxation and rejuvenation and superb amenities.
Norwegian Cruise Line has the widest choice of accommodation afloat, the largest suites, extraordinary villas and the most interconnecting suites and staterooms to fit groups of any size.
Alaska Cruising - small & intimate
Small Ship Cruising is always more intimate with a maximum number of passengers only around 120. You can get much closer to the coast and the wildlife and will generally see more. There may be less entertainment on board but you will probably be travelling with like minded people and your entertainment will come from what you are seeing and the company.
The smaller ships often fill up fast and can be more expensive but they can also visit some places that the larger ships cannot, such as the Misty Fjords National Monument near Ketchikan or Tracy Arm fjord. If you are looking for a more exotic, out-of-the-way itinerary, a small ship Alaska cruise might be the best choice.
Bluewater Adventures - They have four boats, including a 65’ motor-vessel sleeping just 12 passengers in 6 cabins and two 68 foot ketch's with 8 cabins. And new for 2018, the flagship MV Island Solitude, which is 82' and will take trips to Haida Gwaii and the Great Bear Rainforest.
Un-Cruise Adventures - Three small ships ranging in size from 60 to 76 guests and sail either around Juneau and the Panhandle or between Juneau and Sitka.
Arctic Cruising and Northwest Passage
The Canadian Arctic is perfect to explore by small expedition cruise ship.
One Ocean Expeditions offers five voyages for 2018 featuring Canada's Arctic and the Maritime provinces, on Akademik Ioffe, the One Ocean Navigator.
One Ocean Expeditions also offer a Classic Northwest Passage and a Baffin Island cruise on Akademik Sergey Vavilov One Ocean Voyager as well as an expedition focusing on the history of Arctic exploration and early quest for the Northwest Passage undertaken by Sir John Franklin. This voyage is aboard Akademik Ioffe, the One Ocean Navigator.
The Northwest Passage Cruise on board the The Ocean Endeavour along one of Greenland's longest fjordsis an amazing adventure. On this Adventure Canada cruise, meet the friendly Greenlanders and share in their culture, marvel at the vast icefields, cruise among the icebergs in the shadow of a glacier and visit the vibrant fishing community there, hike through the tundra and reach the farthest north the Vikings are known to have travelled.
